She is skilled at assisting clients with communication, parent-child relationships, and substance abuse, and incorporates the well-known Gottman method into her work with couples. And, rest assured, she can handle the most challenging situations you bring.
Meagan began her career in California working with children and repairing the parent-child bond, as well as with adolescents and their families struggling with substance abuse. She has also spent time with adult substance abuse at the inpatient, residential, and outpatient levels. And, her extensive experience working with adults in crisis has prepared her for anything you can imagine. In all her work, through the lens of her marriage and family therapy training, she sees the importance of how interpersonal relationships can aid in healing, growth, and happiness.
Meagan knows what it's like to benefit from therapy, and has done a lot of her own work to grow in relationships. And, she brings the experience of watching her parents experience the ups and downs of marriage and maintain their relationship through hard-work and communication.
Meagan’s outlook on life and relationships is rooted in her experiences growing up in California. She deeply values education and sports, spending much of her youth and early adulthood juggling school, volleyball, and basketball. In adolescence, she experienced the tribulations of being bullied which eventually blossomed into strengths and wisdom. Today, her passions include staying physically active with a wide range of activities and group exercise classes as well as baking and creating music as a DJ.
