Chris Weaver, LPC
Individual & Couples Therapist | Licensed Professional Counselor
Chris currently sees clients Sunday through Thursday, including evenings.
**In addition to in-person sessions with precautions, Chris is offering the option of video counseling services for your convenience and safety.**
Chris is an engaging therapist who is deeply present to his clients guiding them into healthier relationships and marriages. He brings years of education and a hearty background to his work with couples -- don't worry, he won't shy away from those intense conversations in therapy!
Fair & Balanced
If you are looking for a therapist who isn't going to "take sides" and has a fair and balanced approach backed by education and training, Chris is your therapist. Choosing a therapist is an important decision and finding someone who feels like they 'get you' matters so you can get the most out of your time with them.
Chris has over 10 years’ experience working with clients in a variety of settings, including couples, individuals, and families. He has a client-centered, holistic approach in his work with individuals and couples; he strongly believes in authenticity, unconditional positive regard and acceptance, and above all else, empathy. Chris will help you get clear on your goal and support you in moving forward in your life and your relationship.
Chris was born and raised in Omaha, a first-generation Nebraskan from a family of blue-collar Chicagoans! Raised in a blended household after his parents divorced and his mother remarried, he brings the valuable and difficult experience of one family ending and the gratifying beginning of another.
Chris has also participated in couples and individual counseling himself. He and his partner attended counseling during their 20-year marriage, learning a great deal about themselves and their relationship. In their case, they eventually decided to amicably separate and divorce on good terms and remain good friends to this day, as parents of two adult children, ages 21 & 23. Chris continued to attend individual counseling, finding it a rewarding and ultimately healing experience. After his divorce and seeking a new professional and personal adventure, Chris moved to Denver in September of 2018, but will always hold the Midwestern values of hard work, compassion, and service to others close to his heart.

Margie Kaems, MSW, LCSW
Individual & Couples Therapist | Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Margie typically sees clients Monday, Wednesday, & Thursday (including evenings).
**Margie is currently only offering the option of video counseling services for your convenience and safety so that you can attend your appointment from the comfort of your own home.**
For over 15 years, Margie has provided high-quality therapy for individuals, couples, and families in both rural and urban settings. Margie was raised in East Tennessee in a suburb of the Smoky Mountain National Park, educated in the Northeast, and now lives out West. Margie brings perspective from these cultural corners of the country. Having grown up in a Catholic household with a younger sister by both parents (one of German descent and one of Irish who have been married for 40 years), she brings an experience of witnessing her parents work through challenges of marriage while ultimately maintaining a healthy relationship.
Margie has also participated in couples counseling herself. Margie and her partner attended counseling during their six-year marriage and found this experience to be beneficial for their relationship. In their particular situation, she and her husband eventually decided to amicably divorce and separate on good terms. She is now part of a blended family with her partner and two stepchildren, ages 9 & 6.
After working for four years in a psychiatric hospital for children in the Boston area, Margie decided followed her love of adventure and moved out West in 2009 to pursue several personal and professional dreams. One of these dreams involved a journey of her spiritual self-reflection and exploring eastern traditions after abandoning Catholicism in her later teenage years. During her time in the West, she has lived on a farm, explored a variety of summer and winter outdoor activities, and now enjoys the benefits of urban life in Denver with continued access to nature. Professionally, over the past eight years, she has worked in the innovative field of integrated mental health in Cortez, CO, Dove Creek, CO, Santa Fe, NM, and here in Denver, CO.
As an experienced meditator, Margie has taught hundreds of meditation classes over the last many years. Margie is also a Nia dance instructor, where she guides her students to engage with the mind, body, and spirit on the dance floor. Margie is quite skilled at helping her clients to find clarity and new insights as well as to learn practical tools to move through life challenges.
Margie brings this same attention and awareness to her work with couples—helping her clients gain new direction and understanding, which helps to propel them forward in their relationships. Margie’s clients enjoy her contagious laughter, gentle directness, and willingness to be frank and accessible in the therapy room.
Margie’s focus is always on overall wellness integrating, which means not just emotional health but being aware of physical vitality and spiritual wellness as well. Her years of academic education, direct care with clients as well as her extensive experience supervising therapists make Margie a top-notch clinician.
